This Nickle Plated over brass "Koopman's Magic Pocket Lamp" is considered the FIRST American made pocket lighter. 1889 Koopman's standard single push semiautomatic cap lighter.
Operation: Push the large button on the side, the lid opens the cap disc rotates and fires (POPPING THE CAP)-lighting the wick. To recap, push a small lever inside to open the front to get to the cap disc plate.
